Fertility reflexology, Reproductive Reflexology, Reproflexology Portsmouth, Havant, Waterlooville
Fertility reflexology can be used as a stand-alone treatment to enhance your natural fertility or with conventional treatments, such as Clomid, with fully medicated cycles of IUI, IVF, ICSI as well as with donor eggs.
I have trained in Reproflexology™ with Barbara Scott, acknowledged as one of the UKs leading experts in working with couples undergoing assisted fertility treatment, as well as taken additional Fertility reflexology training with Louise Keats and Teresa Heath.
Reproflexology™ uses protocols in the course of working with clients whether supporting your natural fertility or assisted fertility journey that ensure the right areas of the foot correlating with the parts of the body are stimulated or sedated, thereby sending the right messages to the relevant body part. The aim is to correct any hormonal imbalances, improve physical conditions, manage stress levels, and correct any cycle irregularities.
I ideally work with both partners, helping you both to understand your own individual fertility indicators; by removing some of the strain it enables you to enjoy the process of ‘baby making’ again.

- Low Testosterone
- Varicocele (varicose vein affecting the testicle)
- Hydrocele (a collection of fluid in the scrotum surrounding the testicles)
- Mumps (may cause a problem in men if they go on to develop Orchitis – inflammation of the testicles as this can damage sperm production – heat /inflammation in the testicles will not be helpful to sperm morphology as well as volume)
- Vasectomy reversal (it should be noted that it can take up to a year post-reversal for sperm production to return to normal)
- Prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate gland usually due to bacterial infection)
Some of your lifestyle choices can also effect your fertility and chances of conceiving.

- Nutritional deficiencies
- and even your occupation!
Having regular fertility reflexology directs the flow of vital energy to where it is needed by balancing and restoring health and reducing the impact of stress. The whole person is treated and not the specific conditions.
Fertility is a complex subject and there are no guarantees of success whether through IVF or by natural means, with or without reflexology.
The gathering of evidence through ARR data collection of increasing successful outcomes showing a rise in pregnancy and Live Birth Rates (LBR) both for natural conception with Reproflexology™ and for Reproflexology™ alongside medicated protocols following Seren’s strict Guidelines for the assessment, application and techniques involved in Reproflexology™, when treated simultaneously.
A two year trial, under direction of British reflexologist Jane Holt at the IVF unit of Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, is currently under way investigating the benefits of reflexology on ovulation induction. The following links give a brief over view of Jane’s work.

REPRODUCTIVE REFLEXOLOGY CONSULTATIONS & TREATMENT
Please allow 120 minutes for your first session
Treatment will start with a consultation during which a thorough case history will be taken. Ideally both you and your partner should be included and considered for Reproductive Reflexology treatment. Both sperm & ova need to be healthy to aid conception and hold a healthy pregnancy.
This consultation will help provide an action plan of how to make changes (if needed) to your current lifestyle and diet to maximise your chances of natural conception and to find out if you would like to proceed with the treatment, as well as gathering information on how to work in conjunction with any conventional medications you are taking and adjust your treatments accordingly. It will also provide vital information on when it is appropriate to refer on for other tests including; ultrasound, fertility cycle monitoring, hormone profiles and semen analysis.
Female clients – you would be asked to chart your cycle for a period of 3 months, (details of how to do this can be obtained by logging onto Fertility Friend). Charting gives an indication of any irregularities in your cycle, but it can also be used as a means of determining the few days when ovulation is likely to take place and therefore when lovemaking is essential in order to maximise the chances of conception taking place,
Whilst charting is important I often suggest using the ‘Billings Method’; information on this will be passed on at consultation. The Billings Method is very effective in helping couples to recognise when they are most fertile, giving them the best chance of achieving pregnancy.
Male clients – if you have been involved in trying to conceive for more than a year without success I would suggest if not already done so, that you has a basic semen analysis carried out in order to rule out, or rule in, any issues that may need to be addressed
REPRODUCTIVE REFLEXOLOGY TREATMENTS
Please allow 60 minutes for each session
Treatments involve techniques using the Reproductive reflexes on the feet to help with sub-fertility. Initially treatment for the female would entail weekly sessions working through one entire menstrual phase however, if there are irregularities in your cycle, such as clotting or an irregular cycle then weekly treatments would need to continue until the cycle is balanced. This will be discussed at your consultation.
Initial treatment during pre-conceptual care for the male would involve treating on a weekly basis and this would continue for 8 weeks; any general conditions in order to maintain good levels of health would also be taken into account. I would then ask for the sperm to be retested.
All clients enrolled onto the fertility reflexology programme will receive access to a self-care starter pack, including a video, and additional information to assist you on your conception journey.
I do not offer a medical treatment, or indeed a substitute for the medical treatment of infertility. I do not diagnose or treat specific conditions. I do not guarantee that the end result will be pregnancy. Always check with your clinic first before starting your treatments. It is recommended that after embryo transfer you postpone further treatments until you are 12+ weeks pregnant.

I saw Tania to help me with conceiving my first baby. She offered loads of support & useful tips to help me make the right choices for me. Trying to conceive when your friends & family don’t know can be really isolating but I found my sessions with Tania gave me the chance to talk through my concerns & hopes. I’m now 17 wks pregnant & still seeing Tania to support me through my pregnancy. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
